YOGURT CAKE
Christmas is not Christmas if there is no cake involved, and that is something that everyone knows. In addition to being a very easy sweet to make with children , if you keep it in the fridge you can also have breakfast, snack or dessert for a few days. Not only that, but it can be a great alternative to the Roscón de Reyes if you take care of putting cream on top to decorate, candied fruit, and who knows if a small decorative piece inside the cake itself. Kids will love it!
This recipe could not be simpler, and have less complication. The first thing you will need is a natural yogurt ; You will have to pour it into your usual blender glass, and keep the plastic glass in which they usually come. That glass will be the one that you use to make all the subsequent measurements of the rest of the ingredients.
Next, you will have to add four glasses of flour , three and a half glasses of sugar , a glass and a half of oil , four eggs and an envelope of yeast . Leave to the choice of the children the possibility of adding either an orange or lemon juice; it depends on what they prefer in terms of flavors. If you want to add a chocolate coating later, as well as cream, perhaps orange is the best alternative.
Once all the ingredients are in the blender glass, let the children stir . This step is not really necessary for the recipe, but it is necessary for them to be aware of what it is to cook, and have a good time. When they get tired , beat all the ingredients with the mixer until a completely homogeneous dough is formed .
To make the cake, you can choose traditional molds or some with more Christmas motifs (which you will find in any supermarket). Go serving them in the molds, and put them in the oven at about 180 degrees, for approximately forty-five minutes . To see if the cake is really done or not, you have to stick a knife into it; If it comes out completely clean, the cake is ready. You can add a multitude of things to it to make it more fun; for example, candied fruit, or chocolate coating, or cream. Let your children’s imagination run wild!
CHRISTMAS COOKIES
This recipe is undoubtedly one of the favorite of all children . And is that cookies are one of the few sweets capable of hooking us all. With a little originality, we can even make a Christmas tree with all the cookies we have made.
The first thing you will need are star-shaped cookie molds . Thus, if you place the cookies in the shape of a mountain once you finish, you can form a beautiful Christmas tree with which your children will hallucinate … Until they eat it, of course. The ingredients with which we are going to work are: two hundred and fifty grams of sugar, two hundred grams of butter, two eggs and five hundred grams of flour . Optionally, you can make your tree more realistic by adding green coloring .
Let the children play , mixing the sugar and butter. Of course, make sure they do a good job, since the final mixture must be completely compact. Once it is like this, you will have to add the two eggs , and let the children continue mixing. Repeat this step with the flour and, if you want, also with the green food coloring once you have finished with the flour. When all the ingredients are well mixed, forming a homogeneous dough, you should leave this dough to rest in the fridge for a few hours so that its handling is easier.
Now comes the funniest part: you have to roll out the dough, and let the children take out the cookies using the star molds . You may not have star molds, or you may not want to make the final Christmas tree design; absolutely nothing happens. You can use any mold you find around the house: the cookies will be just as good.
When all the cookies are ready, put them in the oven at 180 degrees until they are cooked. Once this has happened, you will simply have to dry them and let them cool. And ready to decorate and eat
SANTA CLAUS MADE OF STRAWBERRIES
If your children are younger, and you see that the previous recipes can be a bit complicated, without a doubt they will have a great time with this recipe. Cooking is going to be a blast for them … Especially since they won’t have to! With these Santa Claus made of strawberries, you will not have to use the oven at any time; and the ingredients are so common that you may already have them at home. And you are only going to need strawberries, cream and some kind of chocolate shavings . Oh yeah, and I’m looking forward to it !
All you have to do is cut the strawberries at the top, separating the top peak from the rest of the strawberry . This can be done by placing them on a tray, to facilitate the work of the little ones. Then everything can be done by them , with your supervision so that the result is much better. The first thing they should do is pour a small portion of cream on top of the strawberry , in the part where the peak should go; Afterwards, they must put the tip of the strawberry on top of the cream that they have just put on. Don’t let them squeeze too much; Explain that it is simply decorative. On top of this peak, they must add a small ball of cream, and they will be able to start seeing Santa Claus.
To finish, they will only have to put two chocolate shavings as if they were the eyes of Santa Claus, and everything will be done! Not only is it an easy and quick recipe, but it is also quite healthy, since children will eat fruit and they will be delighted to do it .
