The spring game is a practice that had a great heyday in Colombia about 3 years ago. It had so much that more than 6,997 unwanted pregnancies were registered in girls between 10 and 19 years of age in that time interval . The figures were alarming, and it is that in Latin America this has already a long history.

WHAT IS THE SPRING GAME?
This type of game takes place in an environment where alcohol or other drugs have previously been consumed , vital for there to be a prior disinhibition of adolescents. It consists of the boys sitting in circles with their pants down and erect. Meanwhile, a small group of girls enter the scene and each climbs on top of them. Once on top, they force a penetration without prior stimulation and hold for half a minute. After that time they have to rotate towards the boy on their right and repeat it again. In the end, the guy who manages to hold the longest without ejaculating wins .
Initially, this practice is done without any type of protection, so the risk of unwanted pregnancy and venereal diseases is very high. Adolescents who do this practice are not aware of all the dangers that come with it. Most have not received a correct sexual education and ignorance makes them unaware of the consequences. For example, some believe that using a condom will solve everything, but it is not true. Even using condoms, there is always a risk of girls becoming pregnant, but the most dangerous thing is that only they would be protected against future STDs, women not.
As he changes and rotates from boy to boy, his vagina comes into contact with the fluids of the previous girl, so the risk of suffering from a sexual disease is very high : syphilis, HIV , HPV (Human Papillomavirus), hepatitis C, gonorrhea And a long etcetera. In addition, since they are not previously stimulated, they can suffer vaginal tears , which, apart from being painful, leaves an open wound that is easy for it to become infected in that situation. It is totally unconscious.
THE SITUATION IN SPAIN
In Spain, there has been only one confirmed case of dock gambling so far, in the capital. A 17-year-old girl who after heavy alcohol consumption played the game of the pier with a friend and four boys, without using a condom, telling her parents that she had had an accident with her boyfriend.
THE SPRING GAME BECAME POPULAR IN COLOMBIA, IN SPAIN IT IS NOT VERY COMMON
At present, our adolescents receive more sexual information than we think, they are better informed than for example 15 years. We have to have a little more faith in them. But of course, it is best to prevent this type of situation through adequate sexual education by public institutions and especially by the family.
HOW CAN WE PREVENT IT?
When it comes to prevention, it is not advisable to speak directly about this game to adolescents , because although we believe that by talking about it and its dangers we will prevent them from playing, in reality we can create the opposite effect.
We can plant a seed of curiosity in their heads and get just what we don’t want, spread. For example, we can tell our children what play consists of and why not practice it, but surely they will tell their friends even if it is only for the mere fact that it has caught their attention (it is quite “curious” information ), and these to others … and so on. In this way, the opposite is being achieved, which is spread by word of mouth until it reaches the ears of someone unconscious or ignorant enough to want to try it. In this sense, the remedy is worse than the disease.
If you really want to prevent it, it is best to give him a good sex education in general. Without focusing on this game or other crazy things that are seen and heard on the internet. Look for a time when no one is going to bother you and be explicit when naming all the diseases that can develop and their consequences (apart from unwanted pregnancies). Nor should you prohibit sex because obviously you will not achieve anything, only that your children avoid telling you their sexual doubts for fear of receiving some type of punishment, with which, you will lose both.
Really, you cannot prevent your children from having sex or not, no matter how much you don’t want to, if they insist they will end up finding the time and place. The only thing that you can avoid is that they are not misinformed and that is only achieved when the subject is discussed openly and it is not avoided .
There is no specific age to talk about these topics , but it is best to start talking about the differences between the sexes and reproduction when they go to elementary school and to start talking about more sexual topics at puberty, for example a good age to speak of sex (and not only changes the physical level) it is when girls have their first menstruation and when the boys begin to change the voice.
Finally, you should not pretend to play all the songs on the same day, it is better to go little by little, playing a couple of songs each time at different times. If we give a lot of information at once, they will not process it properly and will only keep half of what you have told them.
